Technology assists Teaching!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, well today I was given a task to use a computer with internet connection to search for any materials which can assists me in teaching. Basically, our lecturer has shown us that there are tons of videos in Youtube, EduTube and other websites which contain educational videos which can be benefited by our teachers in school nowadays to teach their students actually.

Therefore, we were given some time to explore a little bit to find our own video to share with our classmates, and we were given task to use the video that we searched to teach.

I came up with an interesting yet a quite cliche idea where Asri (my classmate) and I were paired up to find a video to be as our teaching material. We came up with a grammar song actually haha...

Here's the link for the song !

Well, this is just an example of how we can benefit from the technology nowadays to implement it in our teaching methods. Basically, the teaching and learning process has been different from what it used to be. Anyways, it is a great idea that we use the technology created for us as students are also can be easily engage with this type of learning material.

FanFiction.net review

Assalamualaikum and a very good day :)

Well, yesterday we were assigned for a task to write a review or comment about other people's story in FanFiction.net

There are several sections that you can choose eg. Manga, travel, food, movie etc

So,after i have done commented on others works, then I have written a story, a modified story of Dragon Ball. It was my first try actually hehe..

On a breezy evening, after Goku had a chaotic fight with Freeza, it seems like the war has just begun. Freeza was defeated by Goku, after received a huge blow of Kamehameha. He was barely able to avoid the attacked, but as soon as Goku raise his power to a super saiyan, Freeza was no match to him. On that evening too, a mysterious man appearead. Goku was curious because that man would not speak at all even questions were ask to him. That man, suddenly attacked Goku. Goku was injured, due to his last fight with Freeza.
As Goku had no idea who the man was, but one thinh for sure his power was not a joke. As Goku avoided some of his attack, the building that received those blows was destroyed in pieces. Such terrifying power!
Goku was no afraid, but that man was able to put a match on him. Without any hesistation, Goku charged himself with more power, his power was overwhelmed. The earth was shaken for a few seconds. The man too began to release his true power, the buildings around them were destroyed like a piece of cake!
Goku began to attack him first, a fine blow by using his strong fist towards the man. The man received a direct blow on the face! Bammmmmmmm! He was thrown out to the ground. Goku was calm and did not underestimate his opponent too. The man stood up, smile and grin like an evil. 'Hahahahahahaha', such terrifying yet amusing laugh from him!
'Goku, today is your last day to breathe!' After saying that, the man charged forward and gave an explosive blow to Goku. Goku was unable to keep it with his speed and received a few blows from the man. Goku tried to avoid it but it seems like the man was too fast for him to keep up with.
Then, Goku released his super power and again, he decided to use kamehameha to end this meaningless fight. 'Kaaaameeeeehaaaameeeehaaaaaaa' the man received a direct hit and the mask on his face was destroyed! Goku looked at his opponent's face and he was so shocked! The man has the same face as him!
How could this be possible...? It was nightmare...

Well, it is obvious that I am writting nonsense, however it trains me to write something which i found very creative or innovative. IT HELPS students to actually improve their reading and writing skills as well. Well, that's all for this post ! Tq

Review - WebQuest.org

Assalamualaikum and very good evening to all of you guys!

Well, in this post I will be reviewing on a website called Webquest. So,what is Webquest?

"A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. The model was developed by Bernie Dodge at San Diego State University in February, 1995 with early input from SDSU/Pacific Bell Fellow Tom March, the Educational Technology staff at San Diego Unified School District, and waves of participants each summer at the Teach the Teachers Consortium. Since those beginning days, tens of thousands of teachers have embraced WebQuests as a way to make good use of the internet while engaging their students in the kinds of thinking that the 21st century requires. The model has spread around the world, with special enthusiasm in Brazil, Spain, China, Australia and Holland."

It is an inquiry-oriented lesson format which widely used by the teachers. It is a veru useful and indeed a very helpful website for learners or teachers.

First of all, through this website, we can explore and gain a great deal of information that related to education. Moreover, it helps students to find reliable and trusted source of information about educational materials as well. Furthermore, the usage is quite beneficial as the materials that are offered in this website are absolutely good for fellow learners.

Secondly, there is also a section called forum whereby you youself can engage and have a conversation with other users or visitors of this website to ask and gain more information and knowledge about anything specifically educational purposes. Sharing is the best option in order to get more unexpected knowledge.

All in all, personally, I think it is a great website to be explored its functions and more applications to be tried out. Thus, if anyone of you might want to try it yourself, here's the website:

Good luck and good bye :)

Amnesty.Ca Review - Current Issue for Human Rights

Hello and a very good day for all of the readers !

So, today I am going to share with you guys about a very useful website which updates and promotes human rights' issues around the globe.

Here's the link

www.amnesty.ca

In this website, you can write up any suggestions, comments or even petitions straight to the people who are responsible for a particular issue. Thus, we were given a task from our lecturer to write up a comment or petition for a issue that we chose in the website. For instant, I have written up a petition regarding the women's right at Columbia where the issue was the women at there were being raped by soldiers. Therefore, I wrote a simple write up and comment on that issue to the president of Columbia. It enhanced my critical thinking as well as i need to comment whatever I feel on this issue. Without any hesitation, I truly commented what I felt about those women who are being raped by soldiers. It is really pathetic when you think about that. It might not yet happened in our beloved country, but by seeing other countries are encountering this kind of problems, I bet the moral value is that we should love and be grateful of our nation.

It is very informative and useful website at the same time where the news and issues can brush up your general knowledge. So, i think this is just a short review of this website, you can try to explore this website if you have the time, it will be a great opportunity for you to know more what is going on around the world!

Hence, this is the end of this post, good luck and good bye people =)

Review - Quia: Create Fun & Interesting Activity for Your Students!

Assalamualaikum and a very good evening to all of the readers !

So, basically in this post I will be reviewing on a very helpful and convenience website for the teachers.
A week ago, I had reviewed on a website named Neko. That website is for learners to learn basic English through simple yet interesting  applications and games. However, in this short review of a website named Quia, it's purposes are almost opposite to Neko.

Quia is a website for teachers or educators to arrange and create simple yet fun activities to their students. There are various types of games which can be created by the users to engage a more challenging and to attract students' attention in their learning process. Thus, today we were being assignment by our lecturer to create a simple activity by using the application in Quia. So, I chose Jumble Word as my first trial in the website!

Amazingly, it is quite easier to use than it seems. At first, I was quite unable to understand on how to create a quiz or an activity by using this website. However, after an hour of listening and digesting the tutorial section, finally I created an activity!

So, here's the link, try it out, do not be shy =)

www.quia.com/jw/474506.html

I think that's all for this review, I hope that anyone can be benefited by using this website, because I'm planning to explore and create more fun activities to ..update my blog , to assist students with learning English perhaps? Anyway, that's all and thank you for reading. cya !
